‘Inside the Multicultural Community’

Carolyn Battle-Cochrane

Carolyn Battle-Cochrane has submitted a video audition tape to the Oprah Winfrey show, in a contest to win a chance to have her own show put on T.V. Her idea for a show is to have a platform of the multicultural community.

Ms. Battle-Cochrane is a biracial (black/white) filmmaker, the producer of ‘Biracial, Not Black Damn It-Documentary Series’ and author of Private Conversations.

Description on the audition page-

Do you think a Jewish grand-mother who frequents trips to Israel is comfortable when her American grand-daughter converts to Islam? Why is Barack Obama considered black when we all know he has a white mother? Did you know 20 million whites in America have black ancestry and don’t know it? How do you think you would feel if you found out you were part black and have been living your life as a white person? Why not pass for white if you can, if you say you’re black and you’re biracial you’re passing for black, right? Does half Japanese and half Irish mean you’re biracial? This community has never had a platform to express how they view the world; how the shared cultural differences impact their lives, and ultimately the population at large…you see we are the fastest growing population in the US and the UK (under 18). And no one has covered the stories, the complexities of an entire community without sensationalizing. Its time for the revolution to be televised!!

Please go watch, vote, and support what will be a beautiful representation of our community!

If it wasn’t for the hostile sounding “Biracial, Not Black Damn It” you would have a good shot. Oprah’s no fool and undoubtedly knows most biracials have the exact same mentality as this blogger look for acceptance from whites but hate Blacks. Good thing word is finally getting out.

“They are willing, to some extent, to challenge their own racist attitudes, and they are impressed by pro-White attitudes in mixed people.”

Most “biracials” do not feel that way. The title is in regards to idiots who like to tell people what race they should be because of what that person sees on the outside. My daughter has almond shaped eyes and could pass for part Asian. That does not mean a stranger can decide my daughter is Asian, because that is the way she looks. That blog is sad. No replys. One entry.

The title is meant for you to stop, get curious, and listen to what is being said by the “biracials” LOL That is sooo funny.
